Meet Benny & Tank!

Benny and his twin brother, Bodie, were born on 1/16/2025 and rescued by Sarah at ​Puget Sound Goat Rescue. Both were bottle-fed after their mom rejected them, so they quickly learned that humans were safe and good. Benny is a gentle, easygoing Nubian goat who is a wonderful fit for Courageous Connections. Sadly, Bodie passed away from cancer, and we miss him dearly.

Tank joined the Courageous Connections herd as Benny’s new companion. His mom is an Alpine who was purchased with her sister by a local family from a reputable breeder as companions for their horse. The family later discovered that one of the goats was pregnant with Tank. His dad was a Boer. Because the family feeds exclusively alfalfa, they were unable to keep Tank as a wether, so we were happy to give him a home.

Both Benny and Tank are becoming an important part of the Courageous Connections herd. Their gentle personalities make them wonderful companions for participants, and we look forward to watching the bond between these two boys grow. As they continue learning to walk on a lead line, they’ll have opportunities to accompany participants on walks and enjoy plenty of time connecting with the people who visit the farm.
