Through the Tough Times & Amazing Times

Molly has been at Courageous Connections for a couple of years and is always excited to be with her instructors. Every week she pulls on her little blue boots, makes her special sign name for Willow the mini horse, and she excitedly laughs and claps. Every week, Ms. Shelly or another staff member takes a bouncing and skipping Molly to connect with the world through exposure to the love of an animal. Some days it's just to simply come alongside her and walk with her however she may need. The staff have stood beside us in tough times and some really amazing ones. They have been witness to her first days of attendance where she was completely non-verbal and semi responsive. She moved on to sign language and then spoke her first word a little over a year ago. Today, to all of our surprise, she brought tears to all of our eyes by reading a story to her friends. We stand beside you in amazement and gratitude as we watch this little one grow and shape all of our hearts with the continued blessings we see in her each day. We thank you for all you do, especially for those kiddos that are left behind or not understood by a world different from theirs. Thank you for standing in the gap.
